Report time for the game will be 5:45 pm. Due to the near 100-degree heat, and concern for student safety in the adverse conditions, we will perform in summer uniforms tomorrow night. Wear your polo, shorts, marching shoes and black socks.
Sectionals may be called at the section leader discretions. Please do not plan any sectionals prior to 5:00 pm.
Thank you for your hard work this week. The Adele show is off to a great start. Huge gains were made for pre-game, and the halftime show. Feel ready and confident as you make that last push into our home premier!

Band Booster Meeting
The Chillicothe Band Booster meeting will be Monday, August 13th, beginning at 7 pm in the high school band room. Let's continue to have the great turnout that we've established during our first two meetings!
All Call / H-B Memorial
In the severe weather last night, the district's all-call database was wiped, resulting in a failure of delivery for all messages. The error was not found until this afternoon. The process of resetting the system and reloading the information means that the system will not be up and running until sometime next week. Please help each other stay up-to-date with all information. Word of mouth and other modern means of communication can be powerful tools for helping all of us stay connected. As always, this page can be your number one source of information regarding band events and activities.
To allow for adequate travel time to the Hilliard-Bradley Remembrance this evening (which is completely optional), please meet in the parking lot close to the band room by 6:30 pm. We will be leaving no later than 6:45 pm. If there are not enough people to adequately represent our program appropriately, then we will find an alternative means of communicating our condolences and support for the victims and families of this tragic accident.
As a reminder, please wear your band polo, and nice pants or skirts (below the knee, ladies), as well as nice shoes. Please do not wear jeans, sneakers, or shorts. Look your best to appropriately reflect the solemnity of the occasion.

Photos Update
To try to allow for inclement weather, photos have been moved up by half an hour. We can still meet at 1 pm, but we will have to be focused and organized to report to the field on time. Thank you for your patience.
Hilliard Bradley Accident
A tragedy has befallen our neighbors at Hilliard Bradley High School. Several
members of the Hilliard Bradley Marching Band were involved in a car accident
on their way to rehearsal. The accident resulted in the death of one of the
students, and has left four other hospitalized.
As a sign of support and solidarity, and out of respect for
the sanctity of life, we are organizing a caravan to attend a memorial Friday
evening, at 8 pm. The memorial will be held at Hilliard Bradley High School.
Those wishing to attend are to wear their band polo, khaki slacks or skirts,
and nice shoes. As representatives of our community during a time of great
pain, we must represent ourselves with the dignity and grace that is due this
unfortunate occasion. Students and families wishing to join the caravan should
contact Mitzi Carmean at 740-970-8463. We ask that all members of our program
wishing to attend do so as part of this single caravan.

Photos and Upcoming Events
Photos for the marching band will be taken at 2:00 pm
tomorrow. Due to the number of uniforms that have to be handed out, and put on,
please arrive at CHS no later than 1:00 pm. Bring any and all uniform
components, including your gloves, and shoes. Any leftover components that
should have been returned at the end of last season may also be returned at
this time.
For photos, all hair must be pinned or tied back, off the
face, and off the collar. Facial hair must be neatly trimmed, or clean-shaven.
No piercings, jewelry, or watches are allowed. You may cover piercings with band-aids.
Don't forget to wear calf-length black socks, and a black shirt to go under your uniform (check the handbook for specifics).
Individual photos will also be available following the
ensemble photos. Individual photos are optional, and forms will be on hand to
place orders. We will also collect forms that were handed out to students at
the fair.
As a reminder, next week is our Post-Camp. Rehearsals will
run from 7 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday. Sectionals will run from 1-3 pm
everyday, with the following days specified by section:
Monday: Percussion
Tuesday: Flutes/Clarinets
Wednesday: Trumpets
Thursday: Saxophones
Friday: Low Brass
"Meet The Team" will be next Thursday, August 16th.
The event starts at 6 pm, but our specific report times will be given to you
ASAP. Please let the Director know in advance if you have a conflict.
Thank you very much for a fantastic performance at the Ross
County Fair! Let us continue to make good on the promise you displayed for our
community!
