All performances last for 30 min. Students may bring money, and are welcome to enjoy the fair between sets. Following our last performance, we will immediately load the trailer and busses and return to CHS at approximately 5:30 pm.
Bring your music binders with you to the performance. This is a sit-down, concert performance of our marching band repertoire, and having the music is essential to giving our musical best!
Repertoire for Wednesday, August 8th:
Fight Song
Alma Mater
Star-Spangled Banner
Long Train Runnin'
In The Stone
After The Love Has Gone*
*if needed
Practice all music and make sure you are ready to perform. This will be the community's first opportunity to hear and see us, so we want to do our best! Continue the attention to detail, dedication, and perseverance that you showed during band camp, and this will be a great kick-off to our season!
Individual and Ensemble photos for the Marching Band will be held this Friday at 2 pm. Order forms will be passed out upon returning to CHS after the Fair performances. Updates regarding uniforms, and report times/locations will be made in the next few days. Stay tuned!
Post-Camp will be held from August 13 - 17 at CHS, from 7 am to 12 pm. Sectionals will be held from 1 - 3 pm everyday, and will follow the same schedule as Pre-Camp.
NOTE: Attendance at the Ross County Fair and Post-Camp is REQUIRED. Any absences must be cleared, in writing from a parent/guardian, PRIOR to the event. Such absences will be excused at the Director's discretion (a note does not automatically excuse a student from attendance). Any questions or concerns can be e-mailed to the director at chillicothehighschoolbands@gmail.com
THANK YOU for all of your hard work during Band Camp! The sweat and effort you poured into that week laid a great foundation for us to build upon for a successful season. Keep up the hard work, and push through to the end!
