This weekend is will be busy, with performances at the Pickaway-Ross Battle of the Bands during the day on Friday, a home game versus Portsmouth West Friday night, and OU Band Day in Athens on Saturday.
For the Pickaway-Ross, Battle of the Bands, students are responsible for turning in their field trip forms to Mr. Buchroeder. These forms were handed out at rehearsal on Tuesday. They need to be turned in ASAP.
The section leaders have decided to wear summer uniforms for the performance at the Battle of the Bands. Students should report directly go to their homerooms for daily attendance, and then immediately report to the band room. Wear your summer uniform, which consists of the band polo, and black shorts. Wear ankle length black socks, and sneakers (no garish colors, please!).
Following the Battle, we will be touring the four elementary schools on a recruiting trip. Pack a lunch, as we will be eating on the road. We will be dropped off at Worthington, and then walk back to CHS.
For Friday night's game, we will be wearing full uniform. Report time will be 5:30 to allow for distribution, changing, and any corrections that need to take place.
Report time for Saturday's performance will be 9:00 AM. We will review the days rules and procedures before loading the bus. Bring money for both lunch and dinner, which will be on your own at one of the restaurants Uptown. The day will consist of watching the Marching 110's rehearsal, practicing with the other band day participants, and finally, performing at the game. Kick off is at 7:00 pm. We expect to be back around midnight. We will wear full uniforms for the performance, dress for the day will be discussed closer to Saturday.
